Fort Benning Outdoor Recreation programs provide Soldiers and their families opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors through an array of activities, including paintball, camping, backpacking, fishing, hunting and more. Our goal is to help Soldiers and family members acquire skills and develop interests that will last a lifetime. Events are posted on Facebook and on the web calendar. Kings Pond Campout
March 15-16, Kings Pond Recreation Area: Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, horseshoes, volleyball and other activities with your family and friends. Stay overnight, or just stop by for a few hours. Reserve your spot and camping supplies by March 14. (Don't forget to pack the smores supplies and bug spray!) This event is free and fun, what other reasons do you need to attend? Kings Pond is an MWR recreation area located near Harmony Church and is the perfect place to pitch your tent any time of the year.
MWR will host the annual Horsemanship Program. Families will enjoy the Basic Horsemanship Course with demonstrations and hands-on-training. Program activities, including horseback riding and animal care, which offer physical, emotional, and social benefits.

The spring Fort Benning Flea Market and Postwide Yard Sale is scheduled for 8am-2pm May 3. The flea market will be held on Stilwell Field by the Post Office on Main Post. Flea market booth space starts at $15 and can be reserved here
until April 29. This event is open to the public, and there is no admission fee. Expect thousands of shoppers from across the Chattahoochee Valley to descend upon Fort Benning for this popular event. Drive cautiously!
To get to Stillwell Field, take Dixie road to Ingersoll Street. Travel north on Ingersoll to Wold and turn left. Turn right immediately on hall Street and Stilwell Field is on the left.
From the Benning Boulevard entrance, take Benning (which becomes Sigerfoos) to Vibbert and turn right. Turn left on hall Street and Stilwell is on the right.

Boat Rental Notice
In order to rent a boat from Outdoor Recreation, you must present a boater safety card. Certify in our office by watching a video, or take an online boater safety course here
. Be sure to bring the certificate with you at the time of rental.
Privately Owned Vehicle Resale Lot
The POV resale lot, commonly called the Lemon Lot, is located on Gaudette Street, behind the Auto Skills Center. It is used for the resale of vehicles, boats, trailers, recreational vehicles, and motorcycles. Customers must present a valid government ID card, proof of current registration and insurance at the time of parking space rental.
Registration is $11.00 for 30 days, per vehicle. All vehicles must be removed by the 30th day. Customers wishing to reregister their vehicle after the expiration date, must wait seven days before returning their car to the lot.
Outdoor Recreation offers storage units as well as privately owned vehicle parking spaces to customers. The lots are gated and controlled access is granted 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call 706-545-7978 for pricing and availability.
