Parks, Ponds & Picnics
There are a number of recreational areas around Fort Benning that offer a variety of different amenities. Pavilions and gazebos may be reserved by calling Outdoor Recreation at 706-545-7978 or submitting a request online by clicking here.
Russ Pool/Pond
Gazebos, pavilions, rest rooms, picnic tables, benches, grills, fire place, sandbox, playgrounds, swings, disc gold, fishing for children (under 16), fishing pier (Russ Pond), walking trail and horeshoes.

Kings Pond

Road Closure Notice: The road and bridge at 8th Division Road over US 27/280 will be closed from July 7, 2009 until May 31, 2010 (tentatively) for bridge widening. Caution is suggested when traveling in this area. Alternate routes include Jamestown Road, Old Cusseta Highway, 1st Division Road and Wood Road. Detour Directions: Heading EAST on Dixie Road, take a RIGHT on Jamestown Road. Follow this road for about two miles and then take a LEFT on Hourglass Road. You will pass RTB and cross over two sets of railroad tracks. Kings Pond will be on the RIGHT side of the road and is marked with a sign.
Twilight Pond
Picnic tables, grills, fishing and a pavilion.
