Middle School & Teens
The Fort Benning CYSS Services Middle School and Teen Program's mission is to provide positive activities and program options designed to develop young minds and bodies for a healthy transition toward adulthood.
We are here to provide children in grades 6-12 with a variety of programs designed with the children's welfare in mind. We make every effort to develop wholesome leisure time activities. We empower our youth to provide input and work with staff to help deliver a balanced program.
The Middle School and Teen Program is divided into four service areas: Leisure and Recreation Activities, Mentoring, Intervention and Support Services, Life Skills, Citizenship and Leadership Opportunities, and Sports and Fitness. Under these areas you will find baseline programming for our youth. These include individual/group activities, self-directed leisure activities, homework center, computer lab, youth sponsorship, workforce preparation, volunteer community service, and youth councils.
Teen Center
The Hang Out is the teen center exclusively for grades 9 - 12. Located in Building 374, it provides an activity center for teen lock-ins, variety shows, fashion shows, and open-mic night. The teens volunteer, enjoy workforce preparation, mentor younger youth, and enjoy a wide range of activities and programs.
