Middle School & Teens
The Fort Benning CYSS Middle School and Teen Program is designed to develop young minds and bodies for a healthy transition to adulthood.
We are here to provide children in grades 6-12 with a variety of wholesome leisure activities and educational classes. Members work with staff to develop a balanced program that suits their needs and interests.
The program includes four areas: Leisure and Recreation Activities; Mentoring, Intervention and Support Services; Life Skills, Citizenship and Leadership Opportunities; and Sports and Fitness. We offer individual and group activities, self-directed leisure activities, homework center, computer lab, workforce preparation, volunteer community service and youth councils.
The Skate Park
Renovations have been completed on the skate park located at Middle School & Teens headquarters, Building 1056 on Baltzell Avenue. Guests 10 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. All skaters must wear proper safety gear, including pads and helmets, and they must be registered with CYSS and sign a waiver. The park will be open from 4-7:45pm Tuesday through Friday and noon to 7:45pm Saturdays.
