Mobilization and Deployment Readiness

A 'ready' Soldier is fully prepared for the mission. A 'ready' family is fully prepared for all aspects of Army life, including deployments and homecomings, typically referred to as 'redeployments.' Just as a Soldier's readiness often hinges on his or her family's aptitude, attitude and well being, a family's readiness hinges on their expectations and education prior to the deployment.

The Mobilization and Deployment Readiness Program mission is to develop an adaptable community in which Soldiers and their families are prepared for deployment, have access to the support they need throughout its course, and are prepared for the unique challenges they face when their Soldier returns.

  • Soldier Readiness
Soldier readiness is essential to the success of the military mission. It involves military training and proper planning for personal and family affairs.
Among the key concerns: If married, does the Soldier's spouse have an ID card and copy of the Soldier's orders? If the Soldier has children, is there a viable childcare plan for the duration of the deployment?; Have arrangements been made to pay bills?; Does the Soldier have a power of attorney and a will?; Do family members know how to contact the rear-detachment commander?
