NEW RELEASES;
Registration is now open for SKIESUnlimited
youth art lessons and piano/voice lessons starting in Nov. The
9-week evening art lessons, focusing on right brain theory
techniques, are open to children 5 to 18 years old and cost $150.
Eligible homeschoolers are welcome to attend classes on Thursday
afternoons. Piano/voice lessons for 6 to 18 year olds are available
any day except Weds. or Sun. Weekly half hour lessons are $75 per
month and one hour classes are $125 per month. Registration is
required at the Child, Youth and School Services central
registration office in Bldg. 104 next to the Main Post Car Wash on

All members of the
Army community are invited to the post-wide Safety and Health Fair
at the Youth Activities Complex on Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Safety tips for bicycle riding, pets, children’s car seats, toys,
hearing and hunting will be featured. Operation Lifesaver, a
Rollover simulator and free Inflatables will also be on hand. For

The best Rugby players in the Army,
Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard will be on Fort
Benning to compete for the Armed Forces Rugby Championship title
Nov. 17 to 20. Opening ceremonies take place Nov. 17 at 9 a.m. on
the Stewart Watson Field inside the one-mile track, immediately
followed by the first game. The tournament will be played as a
single round robin followed by consolation and championship matches
on Nov. 20. All tournament matches, the opening and closing
ceremonies and parking are free, and open to the public. A schedule

A limited supply of free Christmas
trees courtesy of the Christmas Spirit Foundation will be available
to active duty Fort Benning Soldiers and Family members starting
December 8 at 10:30 a.m. The trees will be located at the Java Cafe΄
parking lot behind the Main Post Car Wash on Marchant St. until 6
p.m. or while supplies last. FedEx will also be passing out a
limited number of free teddy bears to children. For more

Outdoor
Recreation is holding a free On Post Community Campout on November 8
and 9 at Kings Pond. Outdoor Recreation will provide free canoes,
paddleboats, volleyball, croquet, horseshoes and other items for all
campers. Enjoy storytelling around the campfire with Fort Benning
librarians and much more. The campout is free, but registration is

Enjoy Thanksgiving brunch at the
Catering and Conferencing Center (formerly the Benning Club) on Nov.
9. The cost is $14.95 per person. Children 5 to 12 are half price
and children under 5 are free. Seating takes place between 10 a.m.
and 1:30 p.m. Reservations are requested but walk-ins are welcome.

Every month the Army Community
Service Relocation Readiness Program holds a Newcomers Orientation
and Bus Tour for Soldiers, Families and Civilians new to the Fort
Benning and Columbus, Ga., area. The next orientation will be on
Nov. 14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free program begins with a light
breakfast at the Benning Club and includes a bus tour of Fort
Benning and uptown Columbus. Lunch is also provided. Child care is

Commanders Cup Unit Level pre-season
basketball teams are forming now. Coaches meet on Nov. 12 at the
Smith Fitness Center at noon, with the pre-season tournament
starting on Dec. 1. Coaches must bring their Alpha roster to the

The next scheduled CG Golf Scramble
is Nov. 20 at noon at the Fort Benning Golf Course. The cost is $25
if paid by the day before the event or $30 the day of the event, and

Better Opportunities for Single
Soldiers holds the monthly BOSS installation meeting on Nov. 20 at
the Kelley Hill Recreation Center, Building 9079, at 2 p.m. All
BOSS MSC representatives are required to attend or send an alternate
to the event. Fort Benning strongly supports BOSS and allows all
Soldiers who volunteer for BOSS activities, the time to participate
in these events. BOSS events are open to all interested people,

Enjoy free food, drinks, games and
live entertainment at the Grand Opening Block Party on Gaudette St.,
Nov. 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. We’ll be celebrating the new location of
Child Youth and School Services Central Registration, the opening of
the Java Café and the expansion of the Laundromat. There will be
giant Inflatables for kids, arts and crafts, giveaways, door prizes
and a chance to tour the new facilities. We will also be showcasing
some of the quality of life improvements that have been brought to
you by the Army Family Covenant. Auto Skills and Outdoor Recreation
will also hold open houses. There will be fire pits to keep you
warm and much, much more. The event is free and open to all members
of the Army community.
Send your children to Camp Courage
November 24 through 28 where they will enjoy lots of educational and
recreational activities in a safe environment. Skating, bowling,
basketball tournaments, a trip to the Flint Aquarium and much more
is planned. Open to kindergartners through fifth graders, the camp
will operate from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. except on Federal
Holidays. CYS2 registration is free but space is limited. Camp
fees are based upon family income. Registration is at Patch Hall in

Register now for a free Personal
Watercraft and Boater Safety Course on Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. to 3:30
p.m. Information on legal requirements, navigation rules,
preventing personal watercraft and boating accidents and new boating
laws will be covered by instructors of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary
Flotilla 81. Participants receive a Boater Safety Book and a
certificate from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Boat
inspections will be held in the parking lot of Bldg. 4 following
class instruction. The class is limited to 24 participants and
registration must be made by Dec. 11. For more information and
