The Fort Benning FCC program is dedicated to fulfilling its mission of providing quality child care in an in-home environment. The FCC program provides care for children ranging from 4 weeks to 12 years of age. Flexible options for care are available: full day, part day, hourly, before and after school, special needs, emergency care, extended and long term care. Off-post FCC homes are also available to the many Soldiers that live in the communities surrounding Ft. Benning. These homes must comply with the state of Georgia as well as the FCC home requirements. All homes, on and off post, must meet fire, safety and health requirements before being certified. Family Child Care Providers are trained to meet the individual needs of all children while promoting their growth and development. Initial training includes: CPR & First Aid, health, safety, business practices, child abuse identification and reporting, nutrition with family style dining, communicable diseases, administering medication, child growth and development, lesson planning with age appropriate materials, and special needs. |
