Relocation Readiness Program We assist Soldiers and Family Members moving to or arriving from another military duty station. All newly assigned personnel and their Spouses should attend the Newcomer Family Orientation/Tour held monthly at The Benning Club. Other services include: Moving Checklist, Welcome Packets, Sponsorship Training, Waiting Family Program, English as a Second Language information, and Plan My Move Booklet. The Plan My Move Booklet provides up-to-date information on Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine installations. Soldiers/Families relocating to new duty stations have access to information to help them plan successful moves. The Utility Coordination Center (UCC) is a phone center where Soldiers may initiate service with Atoms Energy (gas), AT&T, Columbus Water Works, and Georgia Power. The ACS Lending Closet provides kitchen totes, irons, ironing boards, sleeping mats, infant items, and other household goods. These items are loaned for up to 30 days and extensions are granted on a case by case basis to Service Members and Families awaiting shipment of their household goods. (AW2) program and the Warrior Transition Battalion . The newsletter outlines the
Army Community Service programs available to them, as well as information, links
and resources on AW2 and other programs available to them on Ft. Benning.

USEFUL LINKS The Army Wounded Warrior Program (AW2) - is designed to provide severely wounded Soldiers and their families with a system of advocacy and follow-up with personal support to assist them as they return to duty, or to civilian life. Martin Army Community Hospital - This is an official U.S. Army web site which provides information concerning Martin Army Community Hospital and regional medical treatment facilities to military beneficiaries. Army Career and Alumni Program (ACAP) - The ACAP serves transitioning Soldiers, veterans, retirees, and their family members. Services include a wide range of transition and job assistance activities. ACAP is also dedicated to serving Soldiers, retirees, and veterans with severe service-connected disabilities. The Army AW2 Soldier Connection - Web site provides employers and disabled Soldiers the ability to connect. Participating employers make employment opportunities available and provide a AW2 point of contact, who can provide interested Soldiers with more information about employment opportunities for disabled veterans.
