Army Family Action Plan
The Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) inputs ideas and suggestions from the people of the Army to the Army leadership. This process allows Soldiers and Families say what's working and what isn't - AND what they think will make things better. Suggestions from AFAP alert commanders and Army leaders to areas of concern that need their attention, giving our leadership the opportunity to quickly put plans into place that work toward resolving the issues. The Army Family Action Plan is dedicated to improving the standards of living for all military personnel; active duty, Reserve and National Guard Soldiers, spouses, children, retirees, widows and widowers, and all DoD employees.
AFAP Success Stories: · Basic Allowance for Housing increased by 11% -- part of a plan to eliminate out-of-pocket housing costs by 2005. · Family Support Groups were institutionalized. · Programs like Army Family Team Building (AFTB) and Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) were born.
The AFAP office is located in Soldiers Plaza, Building 2626, 2nd Floor. Telephone: 706-545-5377.
